Unfair Competition

The defense against the acts of unfair competition related to Industrial Property are regulated in Costa Rica by the Law for the Promotion of Competition and Effective Defense to the Consumer, No. 7472, and by a series of provisions contained in special laws and in the Criminal Code. Likewise, since October 31, 1995 our country participates in the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property.
